Uh oh.....too late?

Well, once again, I forgot to bring my plant in before leaving for school. It stayed out over night on the night that it dipped down into 'chilly' weather. Since then, I've added some dirt to the plant, brought it back into the warmth of the classroom, and gave it a bit more sun throughout the day. Since the chilly overnighter--I've noticed the leaves have started to curl just a bit.
Kinda wilted. Sure hope it survives.

Do you think my plant has had it? Will it continue to wilt, or did I get to it in time for it to rejuvenate? I sure hope I did. Wouldn't it be great if our bean plants produced some beans for us to eat? Yum!

Lookin' Good!

Well, I have to admit--I'm impressed! I honestly didn't think my bean seed would do anything. I've not been able to take care of it the way it should be. Between cool weather and just a busy life, my poor bean plant has been neglected. However--I have to admit--it looks pretty good!
What do you think? Do any of you have pictures of your bean plant you can share?

Day 8 (November 1, 2011

So, I had to transplant my bean plant this morning. I never noticed before, but the "bean" turned into some sort of leaf. I wonder if the bean will transform into a permanent leaf of sorts, or if it will simply fall off?
I know that beans are traditionally a summer crop, but I would love to see how long we can get our bean plants to last. Will they produce beans? Will they get sufficient sunlight, now that our hemisphere is pointing away from the sun? (Making it winter)
What do you think will happen?
